We give buyers 33% of our commission, up to 1% of the purchase price. We give sellers 50% of our “net commission”, up to 1.5% of the purchase price. “Net commission” is the total commissions earned minus commissions and fees paid to Cooperating Brokers, like a buyer’s agent. For example, if a seller gives HomeReach.com a 6% commission listing fee, and we give 3% of that to a Buyer’s Broker, we are left with a “net commission” of 3% of the purchase price. We give you 50% of our “net commission”, up to 1.5% of the purchase price when you sell your home.
Your refund depends on the home's final price and the commission offered by its seller. Although the typical commission is 3%, a seller may offer more or less since commissions are not set by law. Our minimum fee is $4,000. If the commission we get from the seller is less than $6,000, we still keep $4,000 and refund you the rest.
You cannot use your refund as part of your down payment.
Occasionally, a listing or seller’s broker offers the broker representing the buyer a bonus or additional financial compensation over and above the usual commission. Such bonuses and incentives are separate and clients are not entitled to rebates on such bonus or additional monies earned by HomeReach.com. Commission rates are not set by law and may vary.
